The light
laserbrasion is a unique, inexpensive laser treatment, which uses the
Erbium:YAG laser to rejuvenate and to resurface the skin. The Erbium:YAG laser is
excellent for deeper treatment of sun damaged skin, facial wrinkles, superficial pigmentation
(melasma and other brown spots), as well as scars. The laser treats the sun damaged and
older, thicker skin on the surface and stimulates the collagen layers to rebuild new, tighter
skin. The Erbium:YAG has a shorter healing time and fewer problems with prolonged redness
and skin pigmentation changes when compared to many other lasers. The results are superior in terms of rejuvenation of the skin, but the light laserbrasion will not remove deep wrinkles, scars, or deep discolored areas. The light laserbrasion, especially with several treatments, will remove many of the fine lines of the eyes, forehead, and mouth. It will also remove most "sun freckles" and smooth out many of the "blotches" in the skin from sun damage. Some individuals might be better treated with a series of treatments with the new IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) technology using the Palomar MediLux or Starlux systems. Please review other areas of this web site. To remove
deeper wrinkles, acne scars, scars, and discoloration, Dr. Taylor uses
the same Erbium:YAG laser to perform a deeper level of treatment,
and the healing time is not as short as with the light laserbrasion. $ 199.95-
For a treatment to a
single area. $ 249.95- For the full face. $ 299.95 - For full face and neck. (There is a small additional fee for the topical
anesthetic) We're Convenient: We are in the Stone Oak Medical Office Building next to North Central Baptist Hospital. Laser Away has moved as of January 30, 2003.
