H is for Hyaluronic Acid
Hyaluronic acid naturally occurs in the body; it’s a gel-like molecule that cushions joints and nerves as well as hydrates skin and hair. Hyaluronic acid also stimulates collagen production and maintains skin elasticity. As we age, hyaluronic acid levels in our body start to decrease. Luckily, there are hyaluronic acid based dermal fillers such as Juvéderm and Restylane. These treatments help restore lost facial volume and skin elasticity.
