  • Laser Away Top 5: Get Your Skin Ready For Summer

OK, it’s crunch time. Time to get lip and facial service and major body treatments in before that sun starts to really shine. We all end up looking and feeling confident in that bikini with whatever last minute routines we abide by before the summer months, but what about on the inside? Beauty shines within, it shines without, and while we soak up those rays, let these top 5 tips we hand-picked help you get your skin ready for summer. Long Live BEAUTY!

Dry brush before every shower: This is an amazing upkeep tip! Dry brushing before every shower will gently exfoliate, stimulate the lymphatic system and increase circulation. Got some body contouring done? This is highly recommended for those of us wanting to minimize or prevent cellulite. Maintain that summer backside!

Re-hydrate from the inside out: Water, Water, Water. Although we love that Diet Coke, drink more water or herbal tea instead. Enjoy a green drink or juice (once a day is ideal). Want inflammation busters? Green is the way to go: they help keep skin glowing! They will also help to detoxify the body and reduce acid…which keeps that youthful skin!

Switch your shower head: Flouride and chlorine are very high in our tap water in California, and that dries our skin and hair out…especially when used hot, which most of us do. If you don’t have a filtered shower head, you can grab one at Home Depot.

Get a better shave: Switch to a more natural shave cream. Better yet, check out Dr. Bonner’s Castille Soap which acts as a soap / body wash / shaving cream. You can also use your natural hair conditioner to shave. Chemicals = BAD!

Don’t forget to moisturize: Hydrate, lovers. Toes to shoulders, shoulders to toes, immediately soak your skin with a moisturizer that suits your skin. Using a plant based oil, like coconut, will provide extra antioxidants and vitamins to keep skin plump and smooth.
