  • Six 90s Fashion Trends That Have Made a Comeback

Remember the Spice Girls? Mom jeans? The 90s weren’t that long ago, but now they are back, much like how the 80s made a brief comeback a few years ago. Luckily, sporting a 90s look doesn’t have to mean dressing like the stars from Full House. Here are six 90s fashion trends that have made a comeback:

    1. Chokers

Ah, yes – those plastic tattoo chokers, neon raver chokers, and candy chokers from the 90s. They’re back with a vengeance, but luckily with a little twist, too. Instead of wearing chokers on your throat, it’s now fashionable to wear them at the base of your neck and with bigger, badder pendants attached to them. These chokers with a modern twist look great paired with high crew-neck tops and deep V necks. They’re also great for framing your face.

    2. High-Waisted Denim

Remember the 90s jeans? They were high, tight, and ripped up. Well, they’ve made a comeback, too, but are a bit more relaxed. The type of 90s-reminiscent jeans that are fashionable today are boyfriend cut, so you should pair them with an oversized t-shirt or a stiff and boxy sweatshirt. Try dressing 90s jeans up with heels and jewelry.

    3. Baby Tees

Lil baby tees used to be iconic of the 90s – back then, it was all about flaunting your stomach. But nowadays, wearing a tiny tee doesn’t mean you have to reveal your abdomen. Modern crop tops usually sit at or just below your natural waist, so that only a tiny sliver of skin is visible.

    4. Slip Dresses

Remember slip dresses? Those spaghetti-strapped ones? While the 90s ones were ultra-skimpy, the comebacks are softer, less clingy, and sometimes even pleated. Wear a slip dress on its down with a sandal, or add an oversized cardigan to the mix.

    5. Fanny Packs

Fanny packs were the epitome of cheesy tourists back in the 90s – bulky and made from cotton. But the new version of fanny packs are a lot sleeker, usually made from leather with real metal hardware. You can wear this 90s revival around your waist or across your back like a messenger bag. They look rad with a miniskirt and matching accessories.

    6. Overalls

Overalls are quintessential 90s, but now they’re back with a vengeance. This time around, leather and denim overalls are fashionable, especially when paired with a leather jacket, high heels, or a dressy pair of flats.
