What To Do After Your Hydrafacial Treatment
FOR AT LEAST THREE DAYS AFTER YOUR TREATMENT…
- Avoid prolonged direct sun exposure and tanning beds.
- Apply sunscreen SPF 30+ daily, and wear barrier protection such as wide-brimmed hats, large sunglasses and breathable protective clothing when outdoors.
- Avoid topical irritants — these potentially include harsh soaps, medicated washes, scrubs, oils, retinols, scented lotions and peels. We recommend applying only Vaseline®, Aquaphor®, hydrocortisone 1%, or sunscreen as needed.

IMMEDIATELY AFTER
- Skin appears bright, dewy, and deeply hydrated
- Skin feels tighter, firmer, and smoother
- Side effects (including mildly pink skin and/or subtle tingling sensation) typically subside within a few hours, depending on skin sensitivity
1 WEEK AFTER
- Skin is healed and you’re ready to receive your next treatment!
- We recommend this treatment every 1-4 weeks to achieve and maintain optimal SkinFitness™!
- We also recommend Hydrafacial right before our other energy-based facials as it will improve their results!
WITH EACH SUBSEQUENT TREATMENT
- Skin becomes healthier and more rejuvenated
- Early signs of aging (such as fine lines, dehydration and uneven skin tone) are reduced and prevented from worsening
- More and more superficial dead, dull skin cells are removed, revealing a clearer and brighter complexion
- Baseline of sebum and dirt congestion are reduced, helping to minimize appearance of pore size and enhance topical skin care absorption
What to Do If You Have These Common Side Effects…
FOR REDNESS, SWELLING, IRRITATION OR DISCOMFORT
- Apply cool packs to the affected area(s), taking them on and off every three to five minutes for one to two hours (do not apply ice pack for more than five minutes at a time).
- Apply over-the-counter hydrocortisone 1% mixed with either Vaseline® or Aquaphor®, up to three times daily or as needed until resolved.
FOR ITCHING
- We recommend taking oral Benadryl®, Allegra® or Claritin® (antihistamines available over-the-counter, liquid version preferred) as needed.
