Does Thermage Hurt?

Most patients find Thermage® to be very tolerable, though it can feel more intense than lighter treatments. As the device delivers radiofrequency energy deep into the skin, you may experience a brief heating sensation followed by cooling to keep the surface comfortable. The sensation is often described as a series of warm pulses with mild discomfort in certain areas. Because Thermage® stimulates collagen in the deeper layers of skin, it can feel stronger than treatments like IPL Photofacials or Instant Glow Laser Facials, but it’s still manageable.
