Winter is upon us, which probably means your skin is drier than ever, but instead of relying on traditional creams and lotions that can be full of chemicals and petroleum that dry out your skin even more, I’m going to share my favorite DIY skincare recipe for redness and dryness. What makes this lotion so great is that it’s infused with shea butter and almond oil. Use it frequently throughout the day to keep your skin from becoming too dry.

    You’ll need two tablespoons almond oil, half a cup shea butter, 10 drops lavender oil. Using a double boiler, melt the shea butter and blend it with the almond oil. Next, add the lavender oil. Using a spoon, mix until creamy and transfer to a jar. Place in the refrigerator to cool for around 15 minutes or until it hardens for use. So there you have it, our shea butter body lotion.
