Thermage is a non-invasive dermatological procedure. This means you can resume your normal activities using common sense caution immediately after treatment unlike more traditional surgical procedures, which call for pre-procedural preparations, anesthetics, and bed rest.
With Thermage, the only post-procedural side effects are redness and mild swelling — but both typically subside within twenty-four to forty-eight hours after a procedure. To reduce the risk of unwanted side effects, avoid prescription topical medications at least 3 days prior and if you plan on being in the sun, ensure to wear your SPF 50 or greater to prevent skin irritation.
