Why We Use the Cynosure Apogee Elite Laser--And How Our LaserSafe Technology Makes It Even Safer
At LaserAway, we're proud to offer the most advanced laser hair removal treatments available--and it all starts with the technology behind our lasers. We use the Cynosure Apogee Elite, a medical-grade, dual-wavelength system that delivers safe, effective, and customized results for patients of all skin tones. And now, with our exclusive LaserSafe Solution, we've made our treatments even smarter and safer. Here's what makes our laser system different--and why it's trusted by patients nationwide.Dual-Wavelength Technology for All Skin Tones
The Cynosure Apogee Elite features two wavelengths of laser energy:- Alexandrite (755 nm): Ideal for treating lighter skin tones (Fitzpatrick I-III).
- Nd:YAG (1064 nm): Safe and effective for all skin tones, including deeper complexions (Fitzpatrick IV-VI).
How Our LaserSafe Solution Protocols Enhance Your Safety
Laser hair removal is most effective when it's consistent, precise, and matched to your skin tone. That's why every Cynosure Apogee Elite laser at LaserAway is powered by the LaserSafe Solution--a unique safety approach combining Cynosure's cutting-edge software and the clinical expertise of our experienced medical team. Here's how the LaserSafe Solution works to enhance your safety at every step:- Every treatment starts with Nd:YAG. The system automatically defaults to the Nd:YAG wavelength--the safest option for all skin tones--so each session begins with the most conservative, skin-safe setting.
- Alexandrite is only activated by your clinician. This wavelength, designed for lighter skin tones, can only be manually selected by one of our trained clinicians--ensuring intentional, skin-appropriate use.
- Built-in safety resets. If the laser is idle, in standby, or the handpiece is changed, the system resets to Nd:YAG. This smart safeguard helps reduce the risk of incorrect wavelength use between treatments or during device transitions.
