Female 1: Listen up, ladies. I know you’ve been curious about laser hair removal. I know that shaving is not as fun as it looks in the commercials. I know that you might be a little worried about the pain, the cost, or the procedure itself, but I’m here to put your mind at ease. I personally have always wanted to try laser hair removal on my under arms. Today we’re going to try it out. Sit back, relax, and let’s go on this journey together.
The first thing we’re going to do before we treat our underarms is wipe it down with a baby wipe to make sure that there’s no deodorant.
Female 2: Here we go. How does this feel? 0, no pain; 10 being excruciating. How would you rate it?
Female 1: I’d say it’s still a 1.
Female 2: A 1?
Female 1: Yeah, it’s not bad.
Female 2: If it’s ever higher than a 5, can you please let me know?
Female 1: Absolutely. It just feel like little pricks, actually, like little needle pricks. It’s not so much of a discomfort.
Female 2: Like a rubber band?
Female 1: Yeah, like you’re just being . . . like an annoying little brother is plucking you with a little rubber band.
Female 2: That’s done.
Female 1: It’s beautiful. Voila.
Female 2: You OK, yeah?
Female 1: Still OK. I barely feel it. I just feel the burst of cool air.
Female 2: Compared to waxing? You used to wax?
Female 1: Oh, my God. Waxing; the anticipating with waxing is the first bad part, and then the actual wax burns. Then just the idea of ripping hair from your body; it’s not natural. This was great.
I just got my underarms done. At first I was a little worried because the hair is a little more coarse than on my face, but it was just as quick and just as painless. I’ll never go back to shaving again.
