Right after your session, you can apply Vaseline, aloe, or hydrocortisone, and you must stay out of the sun. For the first 24 hours, do not work out or sweat. Avoid extreme temperatures and do not swim or soak in pools, hot tubs, saunas, the ocean, or lakes. Take lukewarm showers with mild soap, do not scrub or exfoliate, and always use a broad-spectrum sunblock of at least SPF 30+.
